On this past Saturday, I mistakenly moved my XBOX 360 while it was powered on with a disc inside. My disc scratched to hell! There was a circular mark covering the circumference of the disc and it was unreadable. I purchased the game the week prior and needless to say, I was pissed. (At myself)
I searched the web intensely to find a simple quick fix to take out the scratch. The toothpaste method caught my attention. I tried it out with bad results. Not only did the toothpaste method not repair the disc, it added a multitude of small scratches to the disc.
What did work for me was a solution I purchased from Blockbuster that was essentially car wax labeled ” Scratch Remover”. With this, you wax the scratched area on the disc and buff it out with a soft cloth. After three applications, I put the disc in and *bam* it worked!
Kudo’s to low-tech solutions to hi-tech problems!
Everytime I leave my apartment, my life is in danger! I’m not paranoid! The folks in Greensboro, NC, for the most part, cannot drive. Sure, they can get in a car, start it, and “virtually” drive. However, they seem to lack the ability to sense and react to danger.
